Sunday

Been trapped in the house for days! This is my first winter living in Mountain View and boy does it get flooded! A Mustang is not a very practical vehicle. I need a truck if I am going to escape the next flood!!
Aisaiah has been suffering from a terrible stomach flu so it has been a messy couple of days. He's better, the weather is better.... time to brave the world and get out of these PJs.

Thursday.

My son is sick so I had a lot of time home with him today. Turns out tomorrow is Furlough Friday and next week has 2 more days off. There are more days off than days in school! This is crazy!
Been working today on writing my theater article for next week's Big Island Weekly. I am enjoying the feedback from everyone who has watched out first online webcast. It is a new project and we have lots of work to do, but I know it will improve each week. Any suggestions, story ideas or comments can be sent straight to our editor. jstockton@bigislandweekly.com. He is great at keeping the lines of communication open and he works hard to represent the needs of the Big Island.
Until next blog....

Big Island Weekly Newscast LAUNCHED today!

Well, my dream is officially coming true! I have been in the radio business for over 11 years. For many years, I have been a Voiceover Talent, a singer, an actor and a writer, and now, I am a news anchor for an exciting new online project! My hope is that it and I will continue to thrive and grow and help the Big Island to create a newscast they can call their own! I am honored to be a part of such a forward thinking project and can't wait to see how far it can go!!

My Big Island Weekly online newscast begins tomorrow. There will be a new one every Wednesday. I have always wanted to be a news reporter. This is a dream come true! I am already a freelance writer for the company, but this is a chance to get in front of the camera and really connect with the people of my community and share the local news. This is the start of something great. Now I just have to ride out the anticipation! I have not seen the finished product and I have not broken the news about the new project. Can't wait to see what everyone thinks!! My future starts NOW!

Day One

I have always wanted a blog. So many things happen that I like to share, but Facebook and Twitter limit the number of characters. I found my solution.
I am embarking on a new career journey and can't wait to share it with you!
